Today's random set is 2194 NITROBLAST, released during 2011. It's one of 27 HERO Factory sets produced that year. It contains 57 pieces, and its retail price was US$12.99 / £9.99, which equates to about US$19 / £15 in today's money.

Today's random figure is col166Evil Mech, Series 11, a Collectible Minifigures figure that came in one set, 71002-4 Evil Mech, released during 2013.

In April, Netflix announced that a LEGO ONE PIECE two-part animated special would be premiering on September 29th. A full teaser trailer has been released today, showing us a bit more of what we can expect.
The minute-long trailer promises a recap of the live-action series so far, told from Usopp's perspective with the usual LEGO style of humor. The live-action cast reprises their roles, which is nice to see.

First appearing in the pre-season of Fortnite: Battle Royale, supply drops are a source of extra goods and materials to assist you on your journey. In LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, it’s the same idea—it’s a drop-in loot container filled with assorted items to help out in a pinch.
Their occurrences are normally rare and random, but LEGO has made it easy on us and created this adorable half-display-half-playset model to pick up—sadly not dropped from the sky, but in return for £35/$45.
Spain has won the 2026 FIFA World Cup, so LEGO has revealed a new version of 43020 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy, which will be available for purchase exclusively in the winning country.
4000351 FIFA World Cup Official Trophy - Champions Edition is almost identical to the March release, but the scene in the secret compartment is slightly different, a special printed plate has been added, and the minifigure has been removed. The set contains 2845 pieces - three more than the original - and will cost €199.99. It will be released on October 1st, but can be pre-ordered now.

Speed Champions polybags often accompany a minifigure-scale rendition of each car, so 30709 Ferrari 499P - Hypercar was fairly unusual when released in 2025, without a minifigure-scale car alongside. 77261 Ferrari 499P has followed this year instead.
Endurance racing cars are usually well-suited to the modern Speed Champions format, which can recreate their wide proportions and extremely low ground clearance. The model certainly looks realistic on the whole, albeit with some compromises to be discussed.
This year has seen more Botanical releases than any other, and we're only just over half-way through it.
11512 Hanging Golden Pothos, which will be released next month, is undoubtedly a well-designed and attractive model, but unfortunately it suffers from a major problem that has affected other recently released plants as well.

Of the five recently announced Editions sets based on Olivia Rodrigo, one stands apart from the others by also being classified as a Botanicals set: 11507 Olivia Rodrigo's Flower Bouquet. With 400 pieces, it's not actually the smallest of the line, but definitely feels as such due to the flowers' nature.
Not only is this an unusual combination of two themes—both of which are given prominence on the box, although the style is primarily the white Editions look rather than the dark Botanicals—this also appears to be the first Botanicals set based on a licenced property. So, what makes this bouquet of flowers Olivia Rodrigo's?
LEGO seems to be going through famous artists for reproductions of their work.....da Vinci, Monet, van Gogh. Gustav Klimt is next for this treatment, and LEGO has chosen what is arguably his most important work: The Kiss.
I've had the privilege of seeing The Kiss in person at the Belvedere Palace in Vienna. It is captivating in person, and pretty massive! I was interested to see how it would translate in LEGO form.
The answer is a sizeable LEGO Art set, coming in at an even 4,000 pieces, and a formidable box. The result is a stunning display piece, though not without frustrations along the way.
